Hyundai Motor America Unveils 2018 Elantra GT in Chicago

When Hyundai launched the 2017 Hyundai Elantra, it was touted as remarkably better in every way. Since it experienced such success, and is still by far one of their most popular models, it makes sense that the automaker would want to use it was a platform to launch other variants. In fact, earlier this month, Hyundai Motor America unveiled the all-new 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.

At first glance, it's clear that this Elantra is going to be fun-to-drive, with one of the trims being slightly sportier than the other. That will, of course, be the GT Sport. Both trims will be spacious and loaded with impressive features, such as a standard eight-inch display audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Aside from infotainment, drivers can also look forward to a direct-injection 2.0-liter, which boasts 162-horsepower. The GT Sport will offer a 1.6-liter turbo engine, which produces 201-horsepower. Whichever variant you choose, you will have some time to mull it over as it has yet to be released. Be sure to keep a close watch on our new inventory so you don't miss its highly anticipated debut.
