Auto spies have had their eyes on the 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan for quite some time now, but recently, they had the chance to see the upcoming vehicle au naturel (without any camouflage) for the first time. Now, Buerkle Hyundai, located in White Bear Lake, MN is here to share the details.
The Hyundai Genesis prototype looks quite a bit like the Hyundai HDC-14 concept, though it seems quite a bit more conservative. Stand-out features include a new front end that no longer features the vertical bar through the grille's middle. There are also new, sleeker headlights on the new square, oversized grille.
A side view of the vehicle shows more defined character lines with sharply angled rear quarter windows, making the vehicle seem less like the sedan model that it is an more like a fastback model. Though we haven't received any official measurements, the new vehicle also appears a bit longer than its predecessor, which comes in at 115.6 inches.
Hyundai has also yet to release information about the next Genesis sedan's powertrain, we expect that it could keep its current 3.8-liter V-8 engine choices, which are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Hyundai has promised that the new sedan will come with the Hyundai TRACtion all-wheel drive system, which is great news for those in northern climates.
