What Is Hyundai Hope on Wheels?
Founded in 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer through research funding and public awareness. Supported by Hyundai Motor America, over 850 dealers nationwide and everyday customers, the organization donates a portion of every new vehicle sale to pediatric cancer research.
To date, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has awarded grants totaling more than $303 million -- a remarkable achievement made possible by dealers and drivers across the country. It all comes down to one simple truth: no child should ever have to hear the words "you have cancer."

Pediatric cancer remains the leading disease-related cause of death for children in the U.S., with a child diagnosed every 36 minutes and one in five not surviving.
Many forms of childhood cancer remain high-risk, and less than 4% of federal cancer research funding is directed toward this area. That gap is exactly why Buerkle Hyundai is proud to stand behind this cause, driving innovation and boosting survival rates through continued research funding.
